Ascension’s Women of the Word (WOW) meets every Thursday in the Parish Hall from 9:30 -11:00 am to see God’s word come alive through fellowship among Christian women and transform the way we live our lives as Christians in the Catholic Church. We gather together to glorify God’s name, to learn more about our Catholic doctrine, and to share our personal experiences with each other. Most of all, we hope to offer friendship, strength and support to each other through prayer and sharing.
Our mission is to help every Catholic woman and girl in America encounter Jesus Christ through our Bible studies. For questions contact Diane Ruzicka at diane.ruzicka1@gmail.com. We hope to see you!
Current Study Information:
Ascension Women of the Word would like to invite you to join us for our Fall study as we study Salvation presented by the Augustine Institute. At every Sunday Mass, Catholics confess that Jesus came down from heaven "for us men and for our salvation." But what does "salvation" mean? In this remarkable 10-part video series, Scripture scholar and theologian Michael Patrick Barber provides a thorough, deeply Catholic, and deeply biblical, answer. We will watch Michael Barber as he presents this study on Salvation, New Life in Chris and follow along with a study guide.
We meet every Thursday beginning September 19 from 9:30 – 11:00 am in the Parish Hall. Please bring a $12 check made out to Ascension to cover the cost of the study guide. Scholarships are available. Questions: contact Diane Ruzicka at diane.ruzicka1@gmail.com
